The third Tenchu game. Ayame seems to have mellowed a bit which is unfortunate. She’s still got speed at the cost of power and reach.

As usual, this is segmented and edited.
I don’t include the item screen this time around because I needed a stop/start point for recording and the only option is the item screen.
Since you can see the items I bring for each mission on the bottom right, I don’t think this matters all that much.

Notes
Ninja Armor changes your appearance.

When you’re invisible, you cannot use tools. This includes the grappling hook.

Like with Rikimaru, Ayame’s choices really do not change much and the ending is ultimately the same.

During mission 4: You actually don’t need invisibility at all here, despite the close quarters and immortal enemies. I considered not using it to flex but it causes the mission to take several minutes longer and I felt that faster was better, especially when Ayame’s missions are typically just Rikimaru’s missions but backwards.

During Mission 6: That white stone provides a passive damage increase when you’re carrying it. I didn’t pick it up as Rikimaru because he doesn’t need it and it eats up a precious inventory slot. I ended up not using it as Ayame as tools are just more efficient than attacking directly.

During Mission 7: I do find the secret swords. I don’t use them because they poison you when you draw them and getting poisoned is pretty annoying as it constantly interrupts actions. They also eat up a precious inventory slot.

Like many games during its generation, this game uses a lot of forced motion blur. It’s not good for video quality, especially after Youtube’s compression. It’s out of my hands.

Ayame doesn’t have a post credits scene.

The third Tenchu game. Rikimaru is unchanged in terms of ability from Tenchu 2. The sheathing mechanic is gone, which I think is good.
