We have designed our October 2012 trip to the spectacular and charming Chianti region of Tuscany, Italy to provide you with the ultimate luxury, culinary experience that will delight all of your senses, so prepare yourself for a trip that you’ll never forget.

Every aspect of the tour was thoughtfully chosen through personal experience to offer you a well balanced trip filled with food, wine, history, cooking, sightseeing, relaxing and having fun.

In Florence, dine on a rooftop terrace with the ancient city stretched out before you, then be chauffeured to Tuscany where you’ll check into luxurious villa accommodations. Sip wine in the medieval, hilltop town of Volpaia as you indulge in traditional Tuscan dishes and that’s just the start of your incredible journey.

At the fortress of Montalcino sip silky Brunellos. Spend a day learning to cook classic Tuscan foods at Lorenza d’ Medici’s famed cooking school, Badia e Coltibuono, and visit the most famous butcher shop in the world for a six-course meal highlighting the finest Chianina beef.

Be transported to another time exploring the cobbled streets of Siena, home of the famous Palio horse race, where you can enjoy the evening with new friends. Spend a Saturday morning in Greve savoring the sights, sounds and smells of the busy public market, then turn your purchases into an incredible picnic to enjoy in the scenic hills of Tuscany.

While the trip is filled with activities and sightseeing you’ll also have ample time to explore on your own and downtime to unwind.  We believe in la dolce far niente – the sweetness of doing nothing – which can be accomplished at the Villa Campomaggio, surrounded by peaceful vineyards and featuring a wellness center. You can book a massage, relax by the fireplace with a cup of tea, or lounge by the outdoor pool. We suggest a glass of Prosecco and your favorite book on the terrace!

This will be a small and intimate group, 10 people or less, lead by knowledgeable guides who have personally experienced the features of this tour.  No driving, no big tour buses, no crowds of people, just new friends, good food and wine and incredible experiences. Julie Hubert and Holly McLean will host this open-house event with cheese, wine, and pictures to answer all your questions about our upcoming trip. This is your chance to get a glimpse of the enchanted region that you’ll be traveling to, gather facts and view pictures of Tuscany personally taken by your guide Julie.
